okies!! so i finally scanned in the sketches of what the two characters look like! I am dead set on their face and hair ><
But i think it might help you if you had an idea what they looked like since you're designing their clothes XD Here are the two characters, and hopefully i don't have to explain which is the boy and which is the girl OTL

The Contest...
<sub>Design the main characters' costume for my manga Gun Point!! What kind of costumes am i looking for? Well first of all, you'd have to know the characters background, and the environment they live in.

So let's begin with the environment! For starters, they live in a forsaken desert and some in villages, and even more in a city that has no name at the moment. The ground is not sand, but deep red bedrock from a lake that used to exist many years ago. What makes this place more unforgiving is the fact that when it rains (yes, it rains), it pours acid that burns the skin and poisons water.

As a result, most people live in caves where there is a limited supply of fresh untainted water. Others, (lucky if you'd consider them) live in the city who are blessed(?) with purified water.

Food is scarce, here. There is scarcely any plants or wildlife to live off of. Most plants are poisonous except for a few. As for the animals? Well, they're pretty big nasty brutes. Only the fittest are able to kill them. Luckily if you reside in the city, you can get food form the market!

(Now would be a good time to go into the character profiles)</sub>

<sub>The heroine of our story (who needs a name) is a princess of sorts who travels in the plains of whatever i decide the name will be! —>>I should really work on that<<— She views kingdom she was born and raised from as her enemy.

Why, you may ask? She belives the place is corrupt (which wouldn't be a surprise). Now she's an exile to her own home (though that doesn't stop the leaders from the city from trying to win her back). Instead she goes around the residential of the city exposing of the city's horrible deeds in attempt to convert the people to live as outsiders.

To them she claims that their prosperous lives is at the cost of their own people's lives! These people, kept as prisoners (she claims) in the cities top security buildings, are mutated to become bio-weapons who's mission is to hunt for food and to kill anyone who defies their laws, including the exiles

As some people will take her side and leave the city, she teaches them how to fight for their food and live off the land they are given. and how to rely on their selves.

She is also in search of a certain treasure which i still nee dot think of how it fits into the actual story OTL

Hot-headed, warm hearted, restless, thoughtful although she shows it in a gurff way, stubborn

The Hero of our story is a vagabond who likes to tell of a particular tale of a man who has lived for over a millenium, and has killed a single man over one hundred times! Not that anyone believes him, but the story is partially true.

Our hero has been living for over 400 years (a fraction of what the tale claims). He ages one year every 50 years. How is that even possible? what is he, some kind of mystical creature?? no. no he is not. instead, he has a device that keeps his "time" in check (i've put a lot of thought into this thing! me thinks it's really cool) The best part of this thing is that when he is harmed (like shot in the bullet or something) his time thing reverses time and heals his wounds.

(I've thought of a scene where the girl is mobbed by people, so he carries her unconcious body away from them and goes into the rain. As the rain touches his skin, it burns for a second then heals bwehehe)

His objective is to also find a treasure, perhaps event he same treasure as the princess...

And that enemy of his? He's got a device, too. Except his device allowes him to be reborn year after year as he is killed. The hero thinks it's up to him to stop his nefarious plans.

You may only enter in one design of each character, so if you have many designs, choose which one you think will win!

I judge this not by quality of drawing or how well you draw, but by the quality of the design! It is a design contest, after all.

You can do traditional or digital media. Please, if you will be so considerate, include some details if the clothes have layers. I will ask about things if i don't understand a part of the clothing, though, so don't fret too much.

DEADLINES are on New Years Day, January 1st. That should allow you all plenty of time to design the outfits. If you'd like to extend the deadline, please say so NOT IN A NOTE, but as a comment in this journal.
